Lesions Vulvar
Vaginal lesions, vulvar area included, may be caused by the human papilloma virus.
A biopsy is required for a definite diagnosis. In the detection of VIN and invasive cancer, a colposcopy is necessary. In younger women VIN associated with HPV is frequent and less likely to be invasive. White, red and hyperpigmented sores are associated with VIN and vulva cancer.

Human Papilloma Virus
There are different types of this condition, they all have their own appearances. They include: white; flat condyloma, which is associated with HPV, red; occuring in the absence of hyperkerototic layer, the pigmented type that occur because of rapid epithelial proliferation, and less common is vascular patterns on the vulva. Vaginal lesions, vulvar area included, may be caused by the human papilloma virus.
