Cause Of Bacterial Vaginitis
The main cause of bacterial vaginitis is not human papilloma virus, but vulvar and vaginal infections.
This bacterium normally provides a natural disinfectant that helps maintain a healthy balance of microorganisms in the vagina. When the balance of the vagina is disrupted by the overgrowth of these bacteria another bacteria (Lactobacilli) is unable to perform its normal function.
The main cause of bacterial vaginitis is not human papilloma virus, but vulvar and vaginal infections.

Strong chemicals or soaps, douching, may bring on symptoms, or bacteria spread during sex. Symptoms may include swelling, itching, abnormal vaginal discharge, and a strong fishy smell. BV is most commonly found in women and is not a sexually transmitted disease, although it is associated with sex.
