  -

Pap Smear, Cervical Dysplasia

Normally, the vagina produces a flow of white, clear, or cloudy color that helps to maintain balance between various organisms found in the vagina. The amount of this liquid may change during the cycle, sexual contacts, or exercise. Some changes in the flow, however, may indicate the presence of harmful bacteria in the body. Abnormal vaginal discharge indicates a virus and a Pap smear should be performed for early detection of cervical dysplasia.
