Lichen Sclerosus Treatment

Creams and hormones are the main lichen sclerosus treatment; vaginosis and HPV can also be related to this disorder. The only way to defeat this infection is to treat the symptoms, which are worsened by heat and moisture. Doctors don’t yet know the exact cause of this infection. LS is not caused by a virus, bacteria, or fungus -- but is instead something else entirely. Creams and hormones are the main lichen sclerosus treatment; vaginosis and HPV can also be related to this disorder.

Vaginosis, HPV

Treatments often include non-prescriptive methods with ingredients such as beta glucans, flax seed oil, omega vitamins, aloe vera (gel/pills). Some women only have symptoms in vaginal areas that were previously damaged or scarred by the virus. It is thought that some are genetically predisposed towards LS. Creams and hormones are the main lichen sclerosus treatment; vaginosis and HPV can also be related to this disorder.
