Vaginal discharge in children may occur, indicating an infection, and is not treated with a colposcopy or cervical check.
The condition can also result from a foreign body, which is often accompanied by bloody flows and odor. To prevent the condition, parents should encourage the child to wipe from the front to the back and follow the hygiene rules. Also, bland creams may be used to prevent bacterial infections.
